we all got cleaned up like grown ups and came out to celebrate.







my long lost high school friends linda and (her brother) richard were in the band at the reception. we were cheerleaders together. i remember going to a club to see her sing back in high school. fun coinkidink!

naoia, gianma and me went to the space last night.

it's a really sleek, loungey spot not too far from our new neighborhood. we went to see our friend, el nino, spin at an event called The Movement. it's a nice place to host a private party at. has a really nice outdoor lounge deck. after some drinks and chatting with peeps we hadn't seen since the cold weather came about we headed out to meet up with the rest of the crew at Modern in Georgetown.

i had never been to Modern before, but i can't even count the number of times people have told me that i need to hit it up on thursday nights since i really like to dance. i wasn't really that impressed with it. i did get some work done but it was just so crowded and at the end of the night someone dropped their drink on my ankle. well that killed it.

it was fancy indeed. i've never danced for nine hours in one day before. this past weekend i was very inspired by the workshops taught by zoe, mardi and rachel. in the last couple weeks, being in the Fire In The Belly show and the Fancy show, i've realized how much work i need to do as far as personal practice in technique and just working on my own style...and *cough* costuming. but, it's important to make these realizations.
